Now after just finishing round 15, in a record 2 hours 15 minutes, the restaurant was not yet done with me. Chef and the rest of the staff sat me down at the same table 26, which usually seats six, for a lone dinner. Grant and Curtis brings out some never before seen creations. These were just great tasting dishes. Everything from the charred tuna (I believe bacon fat was used), to the three white truffle explosions in one dish, was just over the top. In jest, I commented about there not being a centerpiece. The kitchen then responds with an immense rosemary branch set on a large serving plate/bowl. I believe the Alinea mantra is: dine at our restaurant 15 times (in under 24 months) and your 16th meal is free.
