A birthday present from Steffi, this Indian cooking class, was held in Ranjana's home, in the closed off area of Jackson Park Highlands. Focused on Mughlai cooking (northern Indian), we learned a few vegetarian dishes:
- hare chutney, coriander and banana
- pakori, fritters with seasonal vegetables
- paratha, whole wheat multi-layered flat bread
- dum aloo, potatoes with onion and tomatoes
- saag paneer, cheese and spinach
- daal makhani, lentils with onion and garlic
- phalon ka raita, yougurt with fruits and nuts
A fun time was had by Steffi and I. Would do it again.
