Alinea Round 25

One would think that after frequenting said establishment, one would get bored with it all. No. You can't. Because everything changes. The dishes will of course change, daily sometimes. But the two things that I thought would rarely take a turn is the experience and environment.

This time around we had the pleasure with dining with a special guest mid-meal, with a very off menu/format item. Last time we had to leave our table to get to our course.

Achatz and Alinea are doing things going beyond traditional (and for the most part, modern) fine dining. As odd as some of the dishes are, each one has been well thought out, and once you experience it, it all makes sense. The best part, is I think they are having fun doing it. I know I am.
